Press the corresponding button to switch a function on or off. Press the button again to switch the function off.

Illuminated LEDs in the controls indicate whether a particular function is active.

Button, control	Additional information in air conditioning system (manual) and Climatronic .
Temperature ①.	Air conditioning system (manual): turn the regulator to set the temperature as required.
...	Climatronic: left and right-hand sides can be adjusted separately. Turn the regulator to set the temperature as required.
Blowers ②.	Air conditioning system (manual): setting 0: blower and air conditioning system switched off (manually). Setting 6: highest blower setting.
	Climatronic: the strength of the blower is regulated automatically. Turn the regulator to set the blowers manually.
Air distribution ③.	Air conditioning system (manual): turn the control to direct the airflow exactly as required.
Air distribution ③.	Climatronic: the airflow is automatically set to comfortable. It can also be switched on manually using the buttons.
④	Climatronic: displays the temperature that has been set for the left and right sides.
	Air conditioning system (manual): defrost function. Air distribution to the windscreen. In this position, the air recirculation mode is switched off automatically, or not switched on at all. Increase the power of the blower in order to remove condensation, frost etc. from the windscreen as quickly as possible. The cooling system is switched on automatically to dehumidify the air.
	Climatronic: defrost function. The air drawn in from outside the vehicle is directed at the windscreen and the air recirculation mode is switched off automatically. In order to demist the windscreen as quickly as possible, the air will be dehumidified at temperatures above about +3°C (+38°F) and the blower will be set to a high speed.
	Air distribution to the upper body via the air vents in the dash panel.
	Air distribution to the footwell.
	Air conditioning system (manual): air distribution to the upper body and footwell.
	Air conditioning system (manual): air distribution to the windscreen and the footwell.
	Climatronic: air distribution to the windscreen.
	Rear window heating: only functions when the engine is running and switches off automatically after approximately 10 minutes.
	Air recirculation mode .
	Immediate heat button for the auxiliary heater .

	Press the button to switch the cooling system on or off.
	Air conditioning system (manual): turn the control to position to achieve maximum cooling. The air recirculation mode and the cooling system are switched on automatically.
	Climatronic: press the button to achieve maximum cooling. The air recirculation mode and cooling system are switched on automatically, and air distribution is automatically set to position .
	Climatronic: apply the driver side temperature settings to the passenger side. If the indicator lamp in the button is lit up, the driver side temperature settings also apply to the passenger side. Press the button or activate the temperature regulator for the passenger side in order to set different temperatures for the passenger side. The indicator lamp in the button is not lit up.
	Climatronic: automatic temperature, blower and air distribution control. Press the button to switch on the function. The indicator lamp in the button lights up.
	Climatronic: press the button to open the air conditioning settings in the infotainment system .
Switch off.	Air conditioning (manual): turn the blower switch to setting 0.
	Climatronic: press the button. OR: turn the blower switch all the way to the left. OR: switch it off via the infotainment system .
