Volkswagen Golf Service & Repair Manual: Removing and installing hinges

Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
  Note
Removal and installation are described for the right hinge only. Removal and installation of the left hinge are similar.
Removing
 

Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-

Removing and installing hinges

–  Removing bonnet -2- → Chapter
–  If fitted, remove caps -4-.
–  Remove bolts -3-.
–  Pull off hinge -1-.

 
Installing
   

Removing and installing hinges

Installation of the hinge -1- is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
–  Install bonnet -2- → Chapter.
Specified torques
  Hinges → Chapter „Assembly overview - bonnet“
