Note
The left and right Bowden cables cannot be renewed
individually. |

Special pop rivet pliers -V.A.G 1753B- |

Remove backrest cover and backrest padding
→ Chapter. |
Note
Spring cushion or lumbar support need not be removed to
remove and install Bowden cable. |

|

Using pliers, detach eye -3- on
pin -4- for backrest release
mechanism on both sides. |
WARNING

Dill out rivet -2- on left and
right and remove retainer -1- from
backrest frame -5-. |
|
|
|
– |
Push Bowden cable end-piece -1-
in -direction of arrow- off
mounting bracket for backrest release mechanism
-2- using a screwdriver. |
|
|
|
– |
Unclip Bowden cable support bracket
-1- from backrest frame -2-. |
– |
Thread out Bowden cable end-piece through mounting opening
in backrest frame. |
– |
Cut through cable ties and remove Bowden cables from
backrest frame. |
Installation is carried out in reverse order. |
